Le nom de Remco Evenepoel a \u00e9t\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de nombreuses rumeurs ces derniers temps comme l’ont remport\u00e9 nos confr\u00e8res du Het Laatste Nieuws<\/a>, notamment concernant son avenir professionnel. Le jeune prodige belge, double champion olympique et deuxi\u00e8me au classement UCI, est l’objet de toutes les convoitises dans le peloton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une offre all\u00e9chante de Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Selon le journaliste belge Michel Wuyts, l’\u00e9quipe allemande aurait formul\u00e9 une offre particuli\u00e8rement all\u00e9chante \u00e0 Evenepoel : un contrat de 10 millions d’euros par an, assorti du recrutement de trois coureurs de son choix et de son directeur sportif, Klaas Lodewyck. Une proposition qui aurait pu bouleverser le paysage du cyclisme mondial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9ponse de Soudal Quick-Step<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Face \u00e0 cette offensive, Patrick Lefevere, manager de l’\u00e9quipe Soudal Quick-Step, a r\u00e9agi en renfor\u00e7ant ses liens avec Evenepoel. Le Belge a ainsi vu son salaire augmenter consid\u00e9rablement, atteignant d\u00e9sormais 5 millions d’euros par an, un montant justifi\u00e9 selon Lefevere au vu des performances du coureur. Parall\u00e8lement, l’\u00e9quipe a renforc\u00e9 son effectif autour d’Evenepoel avec l’arriv\u00e9e de coureurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s comme Valentin Paret-Peintre et de nouveaux entra\u00eeneurs comme Frederik Broch\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un choix corn\u00e9lien<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Evenepoel s’est donc retrouv\u00e9 face \u00e0 un choix corn\u00e9lien : accepter l’offre tr\u00e8s lucrative de Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d’une \u00e9quipe construite sur mesure, ou rester fid\u00e8le \u00e0 Soudal Quick-Step, o\u00f9 il a grandi et o\u00f9 un projet ambitieux est en cours de construction autour de lui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les raisons du choix d’Evenepoel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Si Evenepoel a finalement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de prolonger son contrat avec Soudal Quick-Step, plusieurs raisons peuvent expliquer ce choix : Le coureur belge a toujours exprim\u00e9 un attachement particulier \u00e0 son \u00e9quipe et \u00e0 son manager, Patrick Lefevere.La Soudal Quick-Step a mis en place un projet ambitieux autour d’Evenepoel, avec l’objectif de le voir remporter les plus grandes courses par \u00e9tapes. En restant \u00e0 Soudal Quick-Step, Evenepoel b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d’un environnement stable et d’une \u00e9quipe qui lui fait confiance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malgr\u00e9 les ambitions de Soudal Quick-Step, la question du soutien en montagne demeure. Lefevere est conscient des d\u00e9fis que posent les \u00e9quipes riches, comme celles men\u00e9es par Pogacar et Vingegaard, qui disposent de solides \u00e9quipiers pour les \u00e9pauler en haute montagne. Le recrutement du grimpeur Schachmann devrait apporter un soutien pr\u00e9cieux \u00e0 Evenepoel dans sa qu\u00eate du podium au Tour de France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les enjeux du Tour de France 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Le choix d’inclure Tim Merlier dans l’\u00e9quipe pour le Tour de France 2025 s’inscrit dans cette strat\u00e9gie globale. Le sprinteur belge, tr\u00e8s performant en 2024, permettra \u00e0 l’\u00e9quipe de viser des victoires d’\u00e9tapes d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res journ\u00e9es de course, tout en soutenant Evenepoel dans sa qu\u00eate du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Bien que la concurrence soit f\u00e9roce, avec des \u00e9quipes disposant de budgets plus importants, Soudal Quick-Step a les moyens de jouer un r\u00f4le majeur dans cette prochaine Grande Boucle<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
