Ses directeurs sportifs chez Alpecin-Fenix affirment qu&rsquo;une promesse a \u00e9t\u00e9 adress\u00e9e par Christian Prudhomme, directeur de la Grande Boucle.<\/p>\n<h2>Un premier Tour en vu pour van der Poel ?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si le Tour de France 2020 va se faire sans lui, ce serait d\u00e9j\u00e0 certain qu&rsquo;il se fasse en sa compagnie en 2021. <strong>Mathieu van der Poel aurait eu la promesse de Christian Prudhomme, qui est le directeur de l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve<\/strong>. Cette information publi\u00e9e par le quotidien Het Nieuwsblad a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e2ch\u00e9 par les fr\u00e8res Christoph et Philip Roodhooft, managers du Team Alpecin Fenix. <em>\u00ab Christian Prudhomme nous a promis que l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine nous pourrons \u00eatre au d\u00e9part du Tour. Il l&rsquo;a fait lors des fun\u00e9railles de Raymond Poulidor, le grand-p\u00e8re de Mathieu van der Poel.\u00bb<\/em> Cet engagement remonterait donc au 19 novembre dernier quand ont eu lieu les fun\u00e9railles de l&rsquo;un des plus grands champions cyclistes fran\u00e7ais. D&rsquo;ici l\u00e0, il peut se passer \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de choses. D&rsquo;ailleurs, les derniers mois ont \u00e9t\u00e9 la parfaite illustration. <strong>Ce n&rsquo;est donc pas une certitude encore de voir Mathieu van der Poel au Tour compte tenu de son objectif olympique qu&rsquo;il poursuit<\/strong>. Pr\u00e9par\u00e9 normalement pour viser l&rsquo;or sur l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve de VTT d\u00e8s cette ann\u00e9e, il \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu ensuite que le N\u00e9erlandais accorde encore davantage d&rsquo;importance \u00e0 la route. Mais le report de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e0 l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e suivante va forc\u00e9ment avoir des cons\u00e9quences sur ses plans.
