Le Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec 2024 a couronné une nouvelle fois Michael Matthews, qui s’est imposé pour la troisième fois dans cette épreuve, devenant ainsi le coureur le plus victorieux de l’histoire de la course. Après une course animée, marquée par plusieurs tentatives d’échappées, la victoire s’est jouée lors d’un sprint massif. Tadej Pogačar a tenté un long effort pour distancer ses adversaires, mais le peloton a réussi à le reprendre. C’est finalement Michael Matthews qui a su trouver l’ouverture dans les derniers mètres, devançant Biniam Girmay et Rudy Molard.
Le parcours, réputé pour sa difficulté, a offert aux coureurs de belles opportunités d’attaquer, notamment dans la dernière montée de la Côte de la Montagne. Matteo Jorgenson et Julian Alaphilippe ont tenté leur chance, mais c’est finalement Tadej Pogačar qui a lancé l’offensive la plus sérieuse.
Le podium de cette édition 2024 est très relevé, avec la présence de Michael Matthews, vainqueur, Biniam Girmay et Rudy Molard. Tadej Pogačar, malgré une belle performance, devra se contenter de la 7ème place.
Le Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec 2024 a offert un spectacle de très haut niveau, avec un final palpitant et une victoire de Michael Matthews qui confirme son statut de spécialiste de cette course.
