où reste le classement général SVP ?
Rien à voir avec le Dauphiné, nous sommes en Suisse et la bataille se livre à coups de secondes ! Le dernier chrono s’annonce décisif ! Sur cette étape de montagne et sur les plus hautes altitudes, le grand espoir espagnol Ayuso chipe la vedette à Evenepoel ! Car la victoire d’étape la plus significative de ce Tour de Suisse sera sans doute celle-ci… Le champion du monde R. Evenepoel rencontre sur ce Tour de Suisse une situation qu’il n’a pas vraiment connue jusque-là, une forme d’ordinaire qui ne lui sied guère mais qu’il faut bien accepter à un moment ou à un autre : le voici toujours favori mais placé comme d’égal à égal avec un, deux ou même trois adversaires à la victoire finale, et livré, dans cette étape, à la lutte pour grapiller ou ne pas perdre quelques précieuses secondes…
EVENEPOEL revient du COVID après son abandon pour cette raison au GIRO. Sans compétition depuis et avec des conditions d’entrainement restreintes, il montre sur ce tour de SUISSE qu’il est là, loin d’être à la ramasse, en gérant parfaitement ses montées. Le tour de SUISSE ne semble pas être un objectif pour lui, mais plutôt un test grandeur nature, et le CLM de dimanche sera la dernière phase du test afin de décider sa participation, ou non au TDF.
