Van der Poel n’a pas gagné, mais la course a beaucoup tourné autour de lui. Douze courageux ou désireux de prendre un coup d’avance partent sur l’avant et y restent… Van der Poel s’est contenté d’enterrer ceux restés sur son porte-bagages, de gros prétendants, comme Cosnefroy, Healy, Matthews, Skjelmose, etc… espérant cependant un regroupement qui ne vint jamais. Son groupe arrive cependant très près, à 11 secondes, réglé par Matthews, et les EF ou inévitables Lidl mirent beaucoup de bonne volonté à vouloir le ramener devant… Van der Poel ne roula pas un mètre, préférant faire perdre que tenter ce regroupement. Faire perdre plutôt qu’espérer l’emporter ou revenir : un Valverde procédait souvent ainsi, et cela donne un aspect assez nauséeux à la course…
Extraordinaire course de P. Lapeira, omniprésent dans l’attaque, Décathlon c’est notre équipe… Mais ce fut également une belle journée Groupama avec deux coureurs sur l’avant et trois dans les douze premiers…
Et bien alors ? Il est où van der chaudière ? Ah c’est bête hein ! Voila une preuve de plus que ce type n’a rien à foutre dans un peloton ! Bien oui, ça court à la flahute et ça, c’est le plus détestable ! Dis, narvalo, t’as un maillot (volé) arc en ciel sur le dos, tu crois quand même pas que les autres vont rouler pour toi. Au fait, t’as vu qui a gagné ? Oui le même qui va garder son titre olympique en VTT.
