De son côté, le Slovène Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) a conservé son titre en remportant la Vuelta 2020 devant le Colombien Richard Carapaz (Ineos) et le Britannique Hugh Carthy (EF Pro Cycling).
Côté Français, et à l’occasion de la 18e étape de cette Vuelta 2020, Emmanuel Morin (Cofidis) a une nouvelle fois obtenu un belle accessit (6e) tandis que David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ) et Guillaume Martin (Cofidis) terminent respectivement 8e et 14 ce Tour d’Espagne
